About Me

Hi I’m Maggie O’Shea, a Senior studying Marketing with double minors in Management and Sports Management at Loyola University Chicago, Quinlan School of Business. I’m from the South side of Chicago☘️ and moved to Rogers Park🐻🔴🔵 for college, with no thoughts of moving back home. After graduation, I plan on relocating out of state to somewhere warm.

I’ve been a sports advocate my entire life. I have been a Bulls and Cubs fan since before I could even say those words. I was born December 28, 1998, right after the Chicago Bulls had their Last Dance with Michael Jordan. I grew up playing volleyball and Gaelic football. When I was in high school, I played volleyball, basketball, and soccer. When I came to college, I had no plans to perform at a D1 level, so I chose to manage Loyola’s Women’s Volleyball team from August 2018-January 2020.

I’m also involved in an organization called CHAARG as the VP of Membership. It stands for Changing Health, Attitudes, + Actions To Recreate Girls. This organization has allowed me to understand the backbones of a community and how important social media engagement can be in times of crisis. Due to COVID precautions and the difficulties we faced while being off campus, we completed all of our recruitment completely online via Facebook, Instagram, and direct emailing. Without these resources, we wouldn’t have been able to have a chapter this semester.
